چکیده
The exploitation of massive rare-earth element (REE) deposits is frequently contested because the pollution generated by heavy mining operations and REE extractive metallurgy operations. In an effort to minimise environmental footprint production meet increasing demand for these elements, mine wastes tailings are attracting attention as alternative primary sources. However, residues contain small amounts monazite [(Ce,La,Nd)PO4] in silicate-rich gangues, rendering efficient selective recovery via current flotation routes difficult. Herein, we investigated use LaCl3 activator promote adsorption fatty acid collectors on surface phosphate minerals, thus improving performance. Bench-scale tests were performed a low monazite-grade, residue revealed that dosage (about 1 g t−1) selectively enhanced floatability gangue minerals. We found influence performance depends dosage, collector method addition reagents pulp. mineral composition products was determined liberation analysis (MLA), which indicated higher concentrations lanthanum ions rutile aluminium-rich reducing selectivity separation. This study stepping stone towards development new practice with environmentally friendly may render REE-grade commodity.

Flotation of kaolinite from tailings of kaolin-washing plants by cationic collectors
Traditional processing of kaolin is achieved by dispersion of the mined ore and classification by means of multistage hydrocyclones. The inefficiencies inherent to cyclones produce a middling product that is commonly disposed back to the quarry. In this research recovery of kaolinite from tailings of the Zonoupz kaolin washing plant, which is located in Iran, was investigated by cationic flotat...
متن کاملFlotation of zinc silicate ore: A focus on effective parameters, synergistic effect of mixed cationic collectors and its mechanism
The present study addresses the direct flotation route for the concentration of a zinc silicate ore. Flotation of hemimorphite faces some challenges due to the similarity of hemimorphite and quartz surface properties. XRD, and XRF analyses, optical mineralogy and SEM with X-ray mapping were performed for characterization. The results showed that the quartz, hemimorphite, calcite and dolomite ar...

15 صفحه اولCoal Recycling from Tailings using Flotation with 2-Level Experimental Design Techniques
In this study, the possibility of producing coal with less than 11% ash from tailings of flotation process was investigated. The effect of six flotation parameters: collector type, collector consumption, frother type, frother consumption, pulp density and mixing rate were studied on a sample from a tailing dam. A software based experimental design approach (DX7) was applied to determine and mod...

In this research work, the zinc extraction was investigated, using bioleaching process from a low grade zinc concentrate which was produced from the accumulated flotation tailings. Zinc content was initially upgraded to 11.97% by flotation process. Bioleaching experiments were designed and carried out by a mixed culture of Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans, Acidithiobacillus thiooxidans, Leptospir...
